W Motors Ghiath Smart Patrol Is A Nissan-Based Vehicle Designed For The Dubai Police Department

W Motors is most known for its Lykan HyperSport and Fenyr SuperSport hypercars. The Giath Smart Patrol, a Nissan Patrol-based SUV custom-built for the Dubai Police, made its premiere in a brief video posted on W Motor's official site. It is the company's latest product.

The Ghiath is regarded as one of the world's most sophisticated security cars. W Motors has been tight-lipped on technical specifications, although there are clear indications that the SUV is built on the Nissan Patrol. While the body panels and lighting components are unique and feature W Motor's own styling cues, the greenhouse and dimensions clearly indicate it is based on the sixth-generation Patrol.

The Ghiath Smart Patrol includes extra police lights placed on the top, grille, and tailgate, as well as plastic components jutting from both ends and the roof for a tough aspect, in addition to the unique livery with green patterns on a white body.

The Nissan-sourced steering wheel, 4WD mode selector, and climate control all give away the Patrol's origins within the interior. W Motors, on the other hand, incorporated an aftermarket digital instrument cluster, a huge touchscreen that covers the entire center console, unique switchgear, an incorporated police radio, and a second screen on the passenger side that displays the feed from security cameras.

The SUV is equipped with several cameras throughout the bodywork, as well as a 360-degree camera on the roof. In addition, the back half of the cabin has been altered for police use, is completely isolated from the driver, and has bespoke plastic chairs meant to accommodate the criminals.

We're not sure if W Motors made any alterations to the drivetrain. The standard Nissan Patrol is equipped with a 5.6-liter V8 petrol engine that produces 400 horsepower (298 kW / 406 PS) or up to 428 horsepower (319 kW / 434 PS) in the Patrol Nismo. A seven-speed automatic transmission and Nissan's 4WD technology provide power to all four wheels.

The Ghiath Smart Patrol, according to W Motors, will be manufactured in its Dubai Silicon Oasis plant as the first of several vehicles designed by the Special Projects Division, which focuses on safety, defense, and smart systems.
