VW Budd-E Concept Set To Become A Source Of Inspiration For Self-Driving VW
by AllAutoExperts | 17 April, 2020
VW Budd-E Concept was first presented at CES in Las Vegas last year. It's now ready to give some pointers to the recently announced ride-sharing autonomous vehicle.
It is supposed to be unveiled under the MOIA name. This is likely to be an electric vehicle with eight seats, especially used by Uber and Lyft.

According to the VW officials, the car will not resemble the electric Budd-e minivan concept entirely. It was launched at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show. One of the main ideas is to have an always-on wireless internet connection. According to the CEO of MOIA, Ole Harms, MOIA's planning on finally having a driverless electric car. We really hope the concept will be ready by the end of the year.

Another plan for Volkswagen is to build strong relationships with the local authorities. They really tend to make the public transport network better. That's why they are planning on having a vehicle between a taxi and a bus that will easily drive through busy streets and stop wherever passengers want. In case MOIA can't do that, they will definitely choose a different ride-sharing company.

In case this self-driving project comes through, it'll possibly that it will debut in Hamburg, Germany.
