VW started taking orders for the new and enhanced Volkswagen e-Golf. It has got a new 35.8-kWh battery, enabling the car to reach an autonomy of 300 km (186 miles) in the New European Driving Cycle. The new battery will last for 200 km (124 miles) on the regular roads.
This model is eco-friendly and will come with a 9.2-inch touchscreen for the Discover Pro infotainment system, which will manage gesture controls. There is also going to be a new safety kit with Pedestrian Monitoring, Front Assist, and City Emergency Braking. The model features a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel. You will be able to get the Active Info Display for an extra cost - a cool all-digital instrument cluster.
The powertrain of this model features a total of 136 hp (100 kW) and it reaches 62 mph (100 kph) in 9.6 seconds.
e-Golf will come with an enhanced exterior, too. It will feature new LED headlights and taillights. The cabin is heated by an electrical heating unit even at temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.
At an additional cost, you can get the heat pump for e-Golf models. The heat pump decreases the electrical consumption in this way, having been created specifically for this model.
