Volkswagen Arteon Is Looking Hot And Sportive

Although it has been some time now since Volkswagen Arteon got announced as a replacement of the current CC, not many details were available to the audience. Now, with only a few days until the official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the car maker has released some teaser pictures of the upcoming model.

You will instantly notice the resemblances between Arteon and Sport Coupe Concept GTE, presented two years ago in Geneva. Besides the color that seems not to have changed at all, the lights and frontal grille are almost identical.

As for the rear, the LED lights are pretty much the same as in the aforementioned concept, but the graphics have changed, along with the spoiler lip and roof line. The door handles, side mirrors and lateral windows have also been slightly modified.

We still wonder if Arteon will be a sedan, like Passat CC or will adopt the hatchback chassis, closer to the concept. Even if Arteon goes with the sedan version, it will definitely be much more luxurious than Passat, bringing all of the latest version driver-assist systems.

The clients will get to choose between a standard front-wheel drive configuration or a 4Motion grippy, working with the seven-speed automatic double clutch transmission.

A wagon might follow Volkswagen Arteon soon after the latter’s launch, which VW thinks would be quite an appropriate premiere. Meanwhile, Arteon will officially hit the market this summer, in Europe, following with USA next year.
