A very intriguing and unusual lot was offered by Barret-Jackson Auction Company. It's a Porsche 928 from 1979, which starred Tom Cruise as the main character in the film "Risky Business." The sale of the coupe brought in a record sum for the auctioneers.

This Porsche 928 was originally painted in white color. It took on a bronze hue two years later, particularly for filmmaking. Several vehicles of the same type were used in the film, as in any other, but according to the creators, the Porsche on sale was utilized in the most iconic scenes, driven by Tom Cruise.

After filmmaking ended, the vehicle vanished for a decade until being discovered in the early 1990s. The vehicle was soon restored, and it never missed an exhibition or themed event after that. It's worth noting that Tom Cruise had his first taste of driving a manual gearbox with this specific Porsche 928 sportscar.

The beautiful Porsche is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 240-hp and is connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox. In addition, the interior is finished in brown leather. An anonymous collector paid $1,980,000 for the famous Porsche 928, making it the most expensive Porsche 928 ever.
