Two Extra Porsche Models Will Be All-Electric Starting From 2024

Porsche's decision to switch to electric powertrains is not surprising. The Cayman e-volution concept was introduced in 2017, and it was created solely to test the architecture and technologies of electric cars. Porsche, on the other hand, is now concentrating on current models.
According to corporate sources, buyers will be able to order the Porsche 718 in 100% electric version, starting from 2024. The diversity of body designs in which the car is produced will not be affected by electrification. It will also be available in coupe and roadster body types in the future. Simultaneously, from 2024, the new version will be available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The car will have an additional electric motor positioned on the front axle if it is equipped with an all-wheel drive. The new vehicles will be based on the Mission R concept, which was just introduced. Apart from the front bodywork, which will gain certain elements from the Taycan, the exterior won't alter much.
When it comes to the range of future Porsche-branded EVs, the company is aiming for roughly 400 km, saying that their primary goal is to improve the charging process rather than produce a larger range.
