Turkey's Togg T10X Pre-Orders Begin March 16

Togg, a carmaker based in Turkey, has announced the start of pre-orders for its T10X SUV on March 16. The T10X is described by the company as a smart device and has been in development for approximately five years. Togg aims to produce 20,000 units of the SUV this year, with customers who place pre-orders between March 16 and 25 and pay 60,000 liras ($3,200) entering a lottery to become the first of those 20,000 owners.

To start with, the Togg T10X comes with a single rear-mounted electric motor that generates 218 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

Customers can choose from two different battery pack options, one offering a range of 195 miles and the other 325 miles. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.4 seconds and will be delivered to customers at the end of March.

For those who are willing to wait until October 29 for delivery and pay a premium, Togg is offering the flagship model of its electric vehicle, the T10X. This version is equipped with a pair of electric motors that generate a combined output of 435 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.8 seconds.

Togg claims that its Trugo charging stations can recharge the vehicle's battery from 20% to 80% capacity in just 30 minutes, providing fast and convenient charging for owners. Moreover, Togg's CEO, Gürcan Karakaş, stated that their goal from the very beginning was to establish a mobility technology brand that would be globally competitive, with all intellectual property owned by Togg in Turkey.
