Toyota Yaris And Yaris Cross Get The Urbano Treatment For 2025

Toyota is adding some extra style to the Yaris and Yaris Cross in Japan with a new special edition called the Z Urbano. It’s all about black accents and subtle styling tweaks to give these models a more premium feel.
Both versions come with blacked-out details, including the Toyota emblem, mirrors, door handles, rear spoiler, and roof. The Toyota Yaris Z Urbano rolls on 16-inch wheels, while the Yaris Cross Z Urbano goes bigger with glossy black 18-inch wheels.

And just in case the aesthetic wasn’t clear enough, Toyota stamped an “Urbano” logo on the front fenders, a nod to the Italian word for "urban." Inside, you’ll find Urbano-branded puddle lights, scuff plates, floor mats, and a steering wheel.

The special Toyota Yaris editions are available in Platinum White Pearl Mica or Massive Gray, both paired with a Black Mica roof and pillars. Mechanically, nothing changes. You still get a choice between a 1.5-liter gasoline engine or a hybrid version, both available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and paired with a CVT automatic.

So, if you were hoping for a sportier edge, this isn’t it. Japanese buyers miss out on the Yaris GR Sport available in Europe, making the Z Urbano the priciest non-GR Yaris trim. However, in the case of the Yaris Cross, it slots just below the rugged Adventure model in pricing.

Speaking of price, the Toyota Yaris Urbano ranges from ¥2,347,400 to ¥2,887,500 ($15,700 to $19,300), while the Yaris Cross Urbano sits between ¥2,623,500 and ¥3,228,500 ($17,500 to $21,500). Both are already available to order.
