Toyota Revamps 2024 HiAce in Japan With Earth Color Package And Improved Accessibility

2024 Toyota brings fresh air to its fifth-generation HiAce van in its home country, Japan. While the external style remains somewhat familiar, the diesel-powered flagship Super GL trim is now unique with the new “Earth Color Package,” featuring a beige shade combined with a matte black grille.

Combined with features like unchanging, unpainted bumpers and chrome-finished mirrors and door handles, this sophistication is added.

The 2024 model of the HiAce Welcab will incorporate a modernized wheelchair mount, making it easier to fasten wheelchairs in the cabin. Furthermore, the ambulance version is now equipped with “ITS Connect” (Intelligent Transportation System), which decreases the time spent on emergency transports and increases the level of accident prevention by transferring signals to infrastructure and neighboring vehicles.

The powertrain options remain the same from 2014. The options are the 2.0-liter and 2.7-liter gasoline engines and the 2.8-liter diesel, which are available for both RWD and 4WD. The Toyota Safety Sense suite remains on board, providing basic Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including collision avoidance assist, lane departure warning, and auto high beams.

In Japan, Toyota offers several variants of the 2024 Toyota HiAce to meet diverse needs, including the regular van, passenger wagon, long-wheelbase commuter and high-roof welcab, and ambulance. Prices range from ¥2,439,500 ($25,090) for the base gasoline-powered van to as high as ¥12,017,000 ($82,920) for the fully equipped ambulance, offering a wide variety from which to choose according to one’s preferences and needs.
