Toyota Land Cruiser Prado gets a new diesel!

The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is an emblematic model much appreciated by fans of four-wheel-drive cars. The current generation has been a long time on the market, so the manufacturer announces a restyling and with it, the car receives a new engine.

Toyota announced the new diesel Land Cruiser Prado model that comes to replace the engine of 3 l volume. The new unit has a displacement of less than 2.8 l volume and is 4-cylinder. The power of the new engine increased by 3 hp and 40 Nm to 176 hp and now reaching 440 Nm available on a range of 1400 - 2400 rpm.

With the new engine, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado got a new 6-speed gearbox that is coming to replace the current 5 speed. Thanks to its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions decreased by 9%. The manufacturer says that the new engine is significantly quieter now.

As for the performance, the average consumption of the version equipped with 5-door and an automatic gearbox now is 7.9 l or 8 l if it's a manual gearbox. Acceleration to the first 100 km / h is achieved in 11.1 seconds if we speak of a car equipped with a manual gearbox or 11.7 seconds for the version with an automatic gearbox.

Toyota announces that the restyled version receives radio standard of DAB, a multimedia system touch screen optional Safety Pack. Last adaptive cruise control includes systems Pre-Crash, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitor, and a Monitor Multi-Terrain system that offers video on an angle of 360 degrees.
