Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid Debuts With 457 HP And Real Off-Road Grit

Toyota is giving its Land Cruiser 300 Series a bold upgrade with a new hybrid version—stronger, smarter, and built to go anywhere.
Specifically, this new version pairs a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor for a combined 457 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. That’s the most power ever in a Land Cruiser. A 10-speed automatic sends all that strength to all four wheels. Toyota tuned the system for off-road control, so the throttle stays smooth even on rough terrain.

In Australia, the hybrid is expected to out-tow the diesel model. It does come with a slightly smaller fuel tank (68 liters instead of 80), but the boost in power and efficiency makes up for it.

Outside, the hybrid Toyota Land Cruiser 300 sports a cleaner front bumper and new air intakes. The GR Sport keeps its original look but adds “457 TT” side badges and an “HEV” logo on the tailgate.

Inside, drivers get a new digital gauge cluster with hybrid-specific graphics and a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen. It’s the same rugged cabin, just with smarter tech.

The hybrid Land Cruiser is already on sale in the UAE. Prices start at AED 389,900 ($106,200) for the VXR and AED 409,900 ($111,600) for the GR Sport. Australia gets it in the first half of 2026. A launch in Japan is likely not far behind.

With more power, better efficiency, and true off-road chops, this hybrid Toyota Land Cruiser 300 shows that toughness and technology can go hand in hand.
