Toyota's Hilux Champ is making waves, not just for its potential, but for showcasing a whole new level of cool. This truck's adaptable nature is front and center, flaunting a wide array of trim and accessory options recently spotlighted in Toyota Motor Thailand's official showcase.

While Toyota has previously paraded the Hilux's versatility at international auto shows, the models revealed in Thailand—based on the Hilux Champ production—add a layer of intrigue.

Owners can tap into a treasure trove of aftermarket parts from a plethora of accessory providers to customize their ride.

Among the standout variants is the "White Shark," a Hilux Champ that boasts an eye-catching black hood, roof spoiler, sporty suspension, vibrant livery, and robust alloy wheels shod in high-performance tires.

There's also a more pragmatic sporty version outfitted with official Toyota accessories, including Hilux-branded door cladding, fog lights, black alloys with red trim, and sleek aluminum-style skid plates.

In Thailand, the Hilux Champ's mightiest powertrain is a 2.7-liter petrol engine delivering 164 HP, perfectly complementing the local low-rider pickup scene.

For the adventurers, the lineup extends to a fully-equipped motorhome and a compact camper. The motorhome version, complete with a living area, bathroom, kitchen, and TV, utilizes the Hilux Champ's longer wheelbase. In contrast, the camper model focuses on outdoor enthusiasts, offering a roof-mounted tent and a suite of camping gear, accented with black alloy wheels, integrated LEDs, and a special TJM-branded livery.

Professionals haven't been overlooked, with a range of modified Hilux Champs serving as dedicated Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs). This extensive lineup includes a crepe food truck, delivery van, crane, and even a mobile pet-grooming station.

While detailed specs remain under wraps, it's safe to speculate that many LCV variants will be powered by the 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine, with its 148 HP and 253 lb-ft of torque. Currently exclusive to Thailand in a single-cab two-seater configuration with RWD, anticipation grows for an expanded global lineup, potentially introducing 4WD variants suitable for Overlander and SUV-like adaptations.

With its impressive adaptability, the Hilux Champ is poised to become a convention favorite and a frequent topic for automotive enthusiasts. Keep an eye out for this one—it's a game-changer in the world of customization and utility.
