Touring Superleggera Introduces Its New 740-Horsepower Aero 3

Aston Martin DB4, Jensen Interceptor, and Alfa Romeo Disco Volante were all built by Touring Superleggera, a legendary Italian coachbuilder. Now, the company has debuted its most recent product, the Aero 3.
The Italian manufacturer claims that the Aero 3 is a homage to the company's contribution to the advancement of the science of vehicle aerodynamics, which originated when it first began using a wind tunnel for design.
According to Louis de Fabribeckers, the company's head of design, the enormous fin that extends from the top of the cabin to the rear of the vehicle has no aerodynamic purpose but reflects Touring's aerodynamics background. A geometric grille dominates the front, which also has small headlights and daytime running light bars.
The chassis and drivetrain of the Aero 3 are derived from a leading Italian supercar. A 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine produces 740 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque, while a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox transmits power to the rear wheels.
Three of the fifteen Aero 3s that will be produced have already been sold. On September 23, it will make its public debut at the Salon Privé Concours d'Elégance, which will be held at Blenheim Palace in the United Kingdom.
