Gunther Werks Beats Porsche With New 5-Year, 100,000-Mile Warranty

Porsche has always offered one of the best warranties around. In the U.S., new buyers get four years or 50,000 miles of coverage. Not bad at all. But a small California company just looked at that and said, “We can do better.”
Gunther Werks, the custom builder that turns classic Porsche 911s into modern art, now offers a five-year, 100,000-mile warranty. That’s double what Porsche gives you. The cool part is that it also applies to every car they’ve already sold.

Founder Peter Nam says the plan has been cooking for months. “When Hyundai launched its 10-year warranty, it changed how people thought about quality.” Gunther Werks didn’t extend its warranty because the cars needed extra coverage. The decision came from genuine confidence in its craftsmanship. The company knows most owners will never reach such high mileage, but the fact that they could if they wanted to speaks volumes about the trust it has in every car it builds.

The news dropped right as Gunther Werks wrapped production on its breathtaking Speedster. Only 25 exist, and each one looks like a work of art on wheels. The body is made entirely of carbon fiber, with wide fenders, custom roll hoops, and an interior finished in leather, Alcantara, and carbon trim.

Under the hood, there’s a 4.0-liter air-cooled flat-six from Rothsport Racing that makes 435 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. The setup is paired with a manual gearbox, which keeps the driving experience raw and old-school.

Each Speedster started at around 850,000 dollars, so the generous warranty feels like the cherry on top. It’s peace of mind for owners who know they’re driving something rare and valuable. Gunther Werks isn’t stopping there. Next up is the Turbo, a twin-turbo flat-six pushing 750 horsepower, limited to 75 units.

After that comes the wild F-26, a 911-inspired creation with a thousand horsepower and styling that nods to the legendary Porsche Slantnose.
