This is Suzuki Celerio, the replacement of Alto!

These days in India occurs in New Delhi Motor Show - an event that brought together several local producers, but also big names in the industry, bringing interest in the market. Among them is Suzuki, the producer of a great activity in India, which brought to its stand the new Celerio, a production model inspired by the concept A:Wind.

Suzuki announced that Celerio will be officially presented at Geneva Motor Show in March. It will record its debut on the European market and thus replace the current Alto, which has managed to survive only by selling fleets.

The European model will be similar to the one exposed in India: 3600 mm length will be 1600 mm wide, 1560 mm tall and 2425 mm wheelbase. With a ground clearance of 165 mm, Celerio promises an extremely small turning radius of just 4.7 meters, ideal for urban agglomerations.

Celerio's engine will be provided by a 1.0-liter engine with three cylinders, capable of developing 68 horsepower at 6000 rpm and a torque of 90 Nm at just 3500 rpm. The resources are sent to the front axle via a manual or five-speed automatic gearbox.

With total the mass of between 810 and 830 kilograms - the little Japanese will try to beat triplets Aygo, C1 and 107, Renault Twingo and future, all expected to Geneva.
