Maybe you think we are too often and too easily surprised. But take a look first at the pictures here and then tell us what you think.
In this age and time, when we see a replica car we use either smile or laugh. Or get nauseous. Or confused.
This Ferrari 458 Italia replica is so well done that an untrained eye could easily believe that it is an original.
The vehicle is up for sale on autotrader.co.uk with the price of 37,950 pounds (about 55,000 $ USD) and with the following description: the donor vehicle is from the year 2000 and has 82,000 kilometers on board. The engine is a 2.5 liter V6 modified to mimic the sound of the 4.5 liter V8 that sits on Ferrari 458.
Among other goodies, it includes 20-inch wheels, power windows, air conditioning, leather upholstery, sports seats, airbags for driver and passenger, and central locking. Ooh, and you get lots of Ferrari emblems, both inside and out.
Unfortunately, we have not managed to figure out what the donor car was. We can only say Hats off! to whoever made this car, though, if you have $50,000, make an effort and buy an original Ferrari.
