The resistant mobile phones glass could be used on cars!

The Gorilla Class glass is applied over the tactile surface of the smartphones, being extremely resistant to shocks and scratches. All the trademarks producing the smart phones: Apple, Samsung, Nokia and others have adopted the smart glass designed by the Corning Company.

The good news is that Jeffrey Evenson, the man behind the Gorilla Glass invention, said recently that the auto industry could be also able to use the glass. With the increasingly number of the automakers, seeking to produce lightweight designs to reduce the fuel consumption, the use of an invention like the Gorilla Glass, across multiple automotive components could greatly reduce the total weight.

Evenson says that those who are going to use the ultra-resistant glass, will be able to produce better soundproofed patterns, more silent, expecting from the next year, at least one manufacturer of premium cars to use in the series production of the Gorilla Glass windows.
