The Reboot Buggy Is A Retro-Inspired Off-Roader That Looks Straight Out Of Another Era

Some vehicles are built to impress—others are built to stand out. The Reboot Buggy falls firmly into the latter category. Designed by Joey Ruiter, it’s a raw, minimalist machine inspired by early industrial-era transport, stripped of excess and full of character.

The Reboot Buggy less about high-tech features and more about bold design and brute simplicity. With its squared-off metal body, off-road chops, and wild presence, the Buggy looks like it came from another world—yet it’s very real, having turned heads at both SEMA and the Petersen Museum.

The Buggy’s got some serious power under the hood. A 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine sits behind the tiny cabin, churning out 400 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. It’s hard to say exactly how much it weighs, but chances are, it’s light enough to make for a ridiculously fun driving experience, especially off-road.

Speaking of off-road, this is where the Buggy really shines. It’s got over 25 inches of suspension travel thanks to King coilovers, and it rides on 40-inch Yokohama Geolander mud-terrain tires. Plus, there’s a WARN winch, ready for whatever rough terrain you throw at it. It’s clearly built to handle the wildest trails.

Inside, the design stays true to its simple roots. There are just two black leather seats with harnesses, a basic steering wheel, and a metal dashboard with some digital readouts. That’s it. It’s all about the drive, not the frills. With only around 1,200 miles on the clock, this Reboot Buggy hasn’t seen much action, but it’s titled for road use.

If you’re after something completely different, a conversation starter, or just want to go on an adventure in a one-of-a-kind vehicle, this Reboot Buggy might be exactly what you’re looking for. Check it out on Cars & Bids, and if you’re feeling bold, maybe throw in a bid.
