The Queen's Bespoke Mulsanne Joins Bentley Heritage Collection as a Royal Relic

Bentley's Heritage Collection has been graced by a distinguished arrival—the bespoke Mulsanne that was exclusively crafted for the late Queen Elizabeth II. It appears that the new sovereign, King Charles, has chosen not to retain his mother's stately sedan, allowing it to return to its roots and enrich Bentley's historic lineup.

First unveiled at Pebble Beach in 2009, the Mulsanne's production spanned over a decade, concluding its illustrious run in 2020 with one final tribute to Her Majesty.

Adorned with a Barnato green exterior and an interior harmonizing Twine and Cumbrian hide leather, complemented by Burr walnut wood veneers and sumptuous lambswool carpets, the vehicle carries the royal coat of arms, inlaid into its door waist rails as a mark of its noble service.

In a practical nod to royalty, the front center armrest was reconfigured to accommodate the Queen's handbag, and concealed by a trapdoor were controls for discrete features befitting a sovereign—blue police lights, a bullhorn, and sirens.

Under its bonnet, the Queen's Mulsanne was powered by a robust 6.76-liter V8, delivering 530 HP, mirroring the specifications of the final "Mulliner’s 6.75 Edition" units—a fitting farewell to the iconic engine.

Now part of Bentley's 45-car heritage assembly, the Queen's Mulsanne is in esteemed company, alongside other notable models such as the VIN 0002 and a 2019 Speed model, which previously led Bentley's press convoy.

This royal Mulsanne now stands as a testament to Bentley's legacy of bespoke luxury.
