The Promised $25,000 Tesla Model 2 Sketch Rendered

Do you remember when Elon Musk promised in 2020 at the Battery Day Event to produce a fully-automatic Tesla Model 2 that would cost only $25,000. Now we have more details about the high-tech vehicle - pictures, features and a little more.

To keep up fan's interest in the model that was firstly mentioned in 2018, Elon Musk loves teasing up with small important details. This time, co-founder and CEO of Tesla. And this is an important part - to show that the $25,000 project is in the works, especially because the entry-level car is way behind the schedule.

The number one shocking fact about the Tesla Model 2 is the $25,000. Despite the fact that a $25,000 MSRP, was a promise often repeated, but we know that even if the Tesla's are usually delayed, they still get out of the production line. So far, the cheapest product was the Model 3 that was sold near the $35,000 range price, though the final price is $37,990. Eventually, the model was pulled back due to the lack of demand. We hope that Model 2 won't repeat its history.

How does the price work for a Tesla car? The $37,990 Standard Range Plus Model 3 was sold on an RWD with a 263-miles range, 140 mph top speed and reaches 0-60 mph in just 5.3-second. The costs for building it summed $28,000 so imagine how they could lower the price down to $20,000 to put a $25,000 selling price. The economies might be difficult to make since this model is designed to be one brought up to the latest features and specifications. So we still wonder what the final price would and if a $25,000 is real.

Building the entry-level at Tesla's Gigafactory in Shanghai means that it'll first reach the Chinese market first, and then sell it globally. A rendering artist took the design sketch of the car and created a rendering for the entry-level model with a smaller hatchback and it actually looks like Tesla Model 3's baby sister. The curiosity for achieving the $25,000 price tag continues and just like that, Elon Musk left its fans craving for more.
