The stylish looking Range Rover Velar has been teased for some time now, with pictures and general info about it. Nevertheless, almost nothing was known about the fabulous-looking new SUV. Until now.

Set to make its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, Velar will become available to be bought in the USA this summer. The new model has a fine design, with enhanced aerodynamic features and a chic profile. The pillars and roof are finished in black, which makes the car look sportier.

The USA will get Velar with a variety of three engines, all of them teamed up with 8-speed automatic transmission. The model will have a price tag saying $50,895 and up, with a $995 destination tax for all the models. The trim level will feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, with 247 hp. There will also be a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel unit, delivering 180 hp, available for $57,195 and up. The top version will be powered by a supercharged V6 unit, with a capacity of 3.0 liters and a power of 380 hp. The price for the latter will start from $65,195.

Don't be fooled by the elegant design of Velar. Land Rover is famous for its off-road capacities, so this new RR model shouldn't be an exception. The V6-powered model will have an air suspension as a standard feature and the same will come as an optional feature for the four-cylinder engines. The ground clearance is, thus, increased with 1.5 inches, with a maximum height of 9.88 inches. All-wheel drive and adaptive dampers contribute to the off-road abilities of Velar.

You will find an elegant interior inside the car, with a pair of 10-inch displays dominating the front space. One will provide info related to the navigation, while the other will display climate control functions and Terrain Response options. The comfortable seats, leather, or optional Dapple Grey woolen holster complete the picture gracefully.

The first edition of Velar heading to the USA will comprise 500 units, filled with all sorts of goodies. They will be based on the V6 HSE version and will feature a leather-carbon fiber interior. The sound system will be a 1,600-watt Meridian Signature, while the 22-inch split-spoke wheels will add a plus of individuality. The top-range version of Velar will reach the price of $90,295.
