The Next-Gen Lexus LX Rendered In Form Of A SUV With Massive Grille

The next-generation Lexus LX is expected to hit the market next year. By generating front and rear renderings, the guys at Kolesa are peering into their crystal ball to predict what the future generation of the large SUV will look like.

The renderings show a massive grille with a complicated design for the crosspieces on the LX. It's undoubtedly eye-catching, but for premium customers with a more conservative sense of design, it could be a little too flamboyant. Headlights are small and include arrow-shaped running lights.

The Land Cruiser's body looks to be identical. The depiction shows the car full-width taillights at the back. The back hatch is big yet minimalistic. Despite no evidence of Lexus releasing an electric drivetrain, the painters don't give the LX exhausts.

All indications point to the new LX being extremely similar to the existing Toyota Land Cruiser, as is the case with the current LX. They'll be built on Toyota's GA-F platform. The LX 750h will be the top-of-the-line vehicle, with a hybrid-assisted twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine. This engine is said to produce 480-hp (358 kW) and torque of 642 lb-ft (871 Nm).

There will supposedly be a non-hybrid version of the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 at the bottom of the range. It would have 409-hp (305 kW) and 479 lb-ft of torque (650 Nm).

Next-Gen redesigned LX will allegedly attempt to enhance the SUV's ride quality over the existing model. It will also be outfitted with the most up-to-date safety technology. A 17-inch infotainment screen and a fingerprint reader for starting the engine are said to be included on the inside. The Next-Gen Lexus LX is expected to debut in September and go on sale in select regions as early as December. The Lexus version, unlike the Land Cruiser, is expected to be sold in the United States.
