The New Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Launch Has Been Postponed

According to the Japanese publication Best Car Web, Toyota has postponed the launch of the new generation Land Cruiser Prado. The Prado was supposed to come in the second half of 2023, two years after the Land Cruiser 300 and new Tundra made their debuts.

Insiders later claimed that the new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will debut in the summer of 2022, while the most recent evidence points to a debut in the second half of 2024. The delay is due to a serious shortage of electronic components that has harmed the sector. The Land Cruiser 300, which was supposed to be unveiled this summer, has already been postponed.

The new SUV has a four-year backlog of orders, with most customers opting for top-of-the-line equipment, complicating manufacturing during the semiconductor crisis. As a result, Toyota's plants have been solely concerned with fulfilling the orders that have already been received.
