The new Subaru WRX - the next generation of adrenaline!

Unfortunately, the new Subaru WRX launched in the Los Angeles Auto Show with a sedan form, has nothing to do with the sensational WRX concept that we recently saw in the German saloon. The new WRX interior is inspired by Impreza, but is standardly equipped with sports seats, a right flat-bottomed steering wheel, and "soft-touch materials".

It is powered by a turbocharged two-liter boxer engine that develops 270 hp and 349 Nm of torque and can be mated to a six-speed manual transmission or, in the premiere, with a three operating modes CVT. The 4x4 Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive System is standard, and this time splits 45% torque to the front and 55 to the rear.

The suspensions are set to "sport" and the direction is completely electrically assisted. Though it is an Impreza derived model, Japanese officials have decided to break the link with this name, so the new model is simply called, WRX.

This means a technology concentration devoted to adrenaline. Technically speaking, under the front hood, we find a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine in the same Boxer configuration specific to the Subaru`s one, but with various upgrades.

So that, the power amounts now 271 CP/5,600 rpm and the maximum torque reaches 350 Nm/2000-5200 rpm. The Japanese say nothing about the dynamic performance of the sportiest compact sedan, but say that now Subaru WRX is capable of the average consumption of only 9.4 liters/100 km under the freeway.
