George Yoo, a designer working for Mercedes Benz, is the creator of this concept. The Mercedes-Benz BlitzenBenz concept is challenging and innovative, meant to be a participant of the future races, presenting some of the latest technologies available.
The original Blitzen-Benz model, from 1909, has served as the main source of inspiration for the car's body, with its long tubular shape and the cabin placed on its back.

Another important source of inspiration was the work of Alex Erlandson, consisting of sculpting trees, grown in such a manner that they reach a final planned shape. You adapted the idea to his concept and tried to grow and shape some of the car's details.

Applying this idea in all of its meaning is not yet possible, but researches show that future technologies will allow growing car details instead of manufacturing them.
The exterior of BlitzenBenz works as an organic structure that grows around the car body. The individual wheels are part of this organic structure, correlating the heat of the electric engines with the structure opening or closing, so that it stocks the solar energy.
The concept car is powered by a Hygenius engine system, with one electric engine on each of the four wheels. There is a tank which stores the hydrogen placed under the cabin.
