The Magnificent $5,000,000 Bugatti Divo Is Unboxed

Bugatti was more recognized for its superb coach-building before beginning work on the now-famous Veyron hypercar. In the contemporary world, the craft of coachbuilding has all but vanished, but Bugatti, once one of the greatest in the business, launched the Bugatti Divo project three years ago in an attempt to revive that part of its past.

Bugatti Divo has been on the market since August 2020, with the first sale to the United States taking place this year. The final exemplar of Bugatti's first coachbuilding effort in the 21st century has found a new home in Europe.

A coat of Bugatti EB 110 LM Blue gives the final Divo a classic design, a homage to Bugatti's last official Le Mans factory sports car. Matte gold metallic wheel rims and vivid Blue Carbon are also featured on the exterior. French Racing Blue and Deep Blue, and also matte gray carbon bits, beautify the interior of this Divo.

The new Divo is a definite tribute to Bugatti's coachbuilding legacy: "When I became President of Bugatti, I read a lot about it, looked at the iconic bodyworks created in the 1920s and 1930s, and began wondering whether we could reinterpret this awesome asset to the firm's current period," Stephan Winkelmann states.

Bugatti Divo, which was presented at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 2018, was the most expensive option at the time, with a price tag of five million Euros (about $5.9 million). "Every single consumer who saw the Divo for the first time had nothing but wonderful things to say about it. The 40 cars were all sold in a matter of weeks after the initial client meeting," Director of Sales and Operations Hendrik Malinowski remembers.

The luxurious Divo, named after French racing driver Albert Divo, is a one-of-a-kind vehicle and all of the 40 units created are unique. Each Divo is made to order, precisely like the coachbuilders of the past.
