The Suzuki Jimny Nomade’s Wild Success: 50,000 Orders In Just Days
by AutoExpert | 3 February, 2025
The Suzuki Jimny Nomade has taken Japan by storm, so much so that Suzuki had to hit pause on new orders. The demand has been crazy, with 50,000 orders flooding in just days after the launch.
In an official post, Suzuki apologized to customers for the backlog, saying, “We apologize to customers considering the purchase of the Jimny Nomad due to the suspension of orders. Thank you very much for your interest in our products. The Jimny Nomad has been very well received, and we have received orders that far exceed our production capacity. As a result, we will be temporarily suspending orders. We will provide updates on when orders will reopen, considering the future production situation. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.”

Why the massive demand? The longer wheelbase and extra set of doors make this version of the Jimny much more practical for everyday use, all while keeping that rugged, iconic look. Despite being 340 mm longer than the three-door version, it’s still a compact 3,890 mm in length.

Built in India and sold across Japan and markets like Southeast Asia, South Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, the Suzuki Jimny Nomade is proving to be a hit.

First deliveries in Japan are expected by April 3rd, but as of now, there’s no word on when new reservations will be accepted. To manage the madness, Suzuki even canceled all planned exhibitions for the model in Japan. Looks like this little off-roader’s popularity is sky-high.
