The Italians have established the first speed record on the Tansfagarasan circuit! (VIDEO)

The Tansfagarasan returns to the attention of the most popular publications in the world after Italian Fabio Baroni climbed over 12 km between Balea Lac and Balea Cascada and in only 9 minutes and 13 seconds, says automarket.ro. This is the first official record on this type of road officially registered in the Fagaras Mountains.

The Italian Fabio Barone managed to establish on the Tansfagarasan first speed record, setting a time of 9 minutes and 13 seconds on the climb between Balea Cascadei and Balea Lac. Although the total distance scrolled through by the Ferrari 458 Italia changed of the Barone was 12 kilometers and 300 meters, the ascent took place on the most difficult portion of the Tansfagarasan. A succession of corners at 180 degrees that goes to quota 2100!

The World Speed Record Tansfagarasan project was recognized by Guinness World Records representatives. Fabio Barone is the first pilot actually put this record, which means that in the near future we will probably be witnesses of very multiple attempts to break the current record.

"It was incredible and I didn't even think I'll have a good time like this. Honestly, I thought it would get under 12 minutes. The asphalt was awesome. I had a copilot who was really skilled and focused at the same time. It went all very well and I want to thank the team who supported me, "said Fabio Barone after formalizing the record time. The Italian was honored immediately after stopped the timer by the officials from the Ministry of Tourism and the Italian Embassy in Bucharest.
