The Hyundai Elantra N Gets A Racing TCR Edition Makeover

With 286 horsepower and starting around $34,000, the Hyundai Elantra N is hard to ignore. Now, Hyundai’s N division is turning things up a notch with the Elantra N TCR Edition—a special version inspired by its race-bred sibling from the Touring Car Racing (TCR) World Tour.

Let's clarify: the TCR Edition does not aim to increase power output. Instead, it’s a tribute to the track, designed to look and feel like it belongs there. The star of the show? This massive Carbon Swan Neck Spoiler.

It’s adjustable, adds serious downforce at high speeds, and will definitely grab attention. Hyundai didn’t stop there. The TCR Edition rolls on lightweight 19-inch N TCR forged wheels that improve handling by cutting unsprung weight. Plus, it comes with upgraded N Performance brakes featuring four-piston calipers, ensuring you can stop just as quickly as you can go.

South Korean buyers also get exclusive decals, a nice touch for fans in Hyundai’s home market. Inside, the updates keep coming. You’ll find an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with Hyundai’s signature Performance Blue marker, and TCR Edition badges.

As for what’s under the hood? No surprises here. It’s the same turbocharged 2.0-liter engine from the standard Elantra N, making 276 hp—or up to 286 hp with Hyundai’s cheeky “N Grin Shift” mode. The torque figure holds steady at 289 lb-ft, and the power is sent through a responsive eight-speed dual-clutch automatic or a six-speed manual. The Hyundai Elantra N TCR Edition launches in South Korea this December, with a global release set for 2025.
