The Fiat-Chrysler 2016 V6 Pentastar Will Come With Almost 15% More Torque

It first will be in the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee and with more power and a 6% better fuel economy. It also comes with 5 more horsepower than previous versions.

To squeeze the extra power out of the V6, Chrysler added a two-step variable valve lift, redesigned exhaust gas recirculation and a variable valve timing system. They also upped the compression ratio from 10.2:1 to 11.3:1, added new fuel injectors, valve springs, low tension piston rings, and other weight reduction strategies which reduced the engine weight by 4.2 pounds.
