The Czinger 21C Is A 3D-printed Hypercar With 1250 Horsepower

The production-spec version of the Los Angeles-based startup's 3-D-printed hypercar was presented. The 21C, which is made with 3-D printing and robotic systems, has seen some substantial enhancements over the initial concept, but the body has remained mostly the same.

Despite being wider than earlier, the car still has large fenders over the front and back wheels, a bubble cockpit, and an enormous rear wing, giving it the appearance of a future race car.

The hypercar's engine has undergone minor changes and is now even more amazing. Czinger 21C is propelled by a hybrid system that includes a twin-turbocharged 2.88-liter V-8 engine and two electric motors, one for each front wheel. The mill and motors work together to create a strong 1,250 hp when linked to an ultra-light, sequential seven-speed automatic manual gearbox that transfers power to each wheel.

With a power-to-weight ratio of 1:1, the automobile weighs 2,733 pounds and will be more than sufficient. If that's not enough, a 100-horsepower boost is also accessible.

According to Czinger, the car can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 1.9 seconds, 186 miles per hour in 13.8 seconds, and 248 miles per hour in 21.3 seconds. The V-8 engine of the vehicle was built to run on a variety of fuel types. This includes carbon-recycled methanol and e-fuels, which might reduce emissions to near zero.

We don't have a pricing or delivery date for the 21C yet, but Czinger has stated that just 80 of the next-generation hypercar will be built.
