The Coolest Trans-Am Ever Created Measures 7 Feet Wide

For a while now, Hoonigan's Build Biology series has brought us some of the most intriguing custom car builds on the planet. For this year's SEMA exhibition in Las Vegas, a guy built a 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am in his parent's backyard. It's without a doubt the finest Trans Am I've seen.

Riley Stair, the car's creator, states the major part of the vehicle is now built on a tube-frame chassis that has been widened to a huge 7 feet broad.  

It's impossible not to like it when it's placed low on Panasport wheels with a 12-inch width on all four corners and a custom-made widebody package. The engine is the main center of attention, regardless of how good the car appears from the outside.

It's a 400 cubic-inch naturally aspirated LSX V8 developed by Motor Machine in California. It boasts several internal upgrades that allow it to produce 700-hp at the wheels and a redline of 10,000 rpm. Because the engine was mounted so far back in the chassis, Stair didn't have enough space to run an exhaust system through the Trans-Am, so he had to cram everything into the engine compartment, which resulted in some stunning effects.
