The BMW 6 Series gets a new iDrive version!

The BMW 6 Series with its derivatives: Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe will receive a number of updates with the new coming 2014 generation. The new element that applies to all versions is the updated iDrive system, now the 4.2 version.
The new iDrive system has: improved graphics, including 3D features, a 1.3 GHz processor, enhanced dynamic transitions and new animations. The BMW multimedia menu interface is also updated and simplified and the iDrive system presents new features. Thus, the 6 Series Gran Coupe becomes available with a xDrive all-wheel drive system for the 640i and 650i versions, both offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission. At the same time, the BMW M6 will be available with a six-speed manual transmission.
The BMW 6 Series Convertible gets a 2014 special edition. The name of this edition will be - Brilliant White Frozen Edition and will be available only in 100 copies. Customers can order this version only with a 650i motoring, offered both: with a rear-wheel drive and with an xDrive system. On the US market, the model will have a starting price of 106,695 dollars.
