The All-New MG Majestor: India’s Largest SUV Launches At Bharat Mobility Expo

MG just dropped its latest SUV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, calling it the Majestor. Well, it’s basically a rebadged Maxus D90, which you might’ve seen in markets like Chile, South Africa, or even as the LDV D90 in Australia. But MG has spiced things up with a tougher, boxier look.

The front features a massive grille, slick split LED headlights, and a chunky skid plate that exudes an off-road vibe. Around the back, there’s a full-width LED bar connecting the taillights, plus dual exhaust tips tucked into a sporty skid plate-diffuser combo.

MG’s not holding back on the bragging rights, either. They’re calling it the “tallest, longest, and widest” ride in its segment. At over 5 meters long (5,046 mm, to be exact), it’s officially the biggest MG you can buy in India. Inside? MG’s keeping it under wraps for now, but if it’s anything like the Maxus D90, expect all the goodies. Think of a huge 12.3-inch touchscreen, a driver’s seat with heating, cooling, and even massage; tri-zone climate control; a banging 12-speaker sound system; a sunroof; and fancy driver-assist features.

Power-wise, the Majestor’s likely borrowing the MG Gloster’s engine—a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel pumping out 215 hp and 480 Nm of torque. You can choose between rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive setups, based on your preference.

It’s set to hit Indian roads by spring 2025, and the price tag? Expect somewhere between ₹40-45 lakh ($46,200-$52,000), though it could climb even higher. That puts it just above the Gloster, which currently starts at ₹39.57 lakh.

MG Majestor

The Majestor’s gunning for big names like the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Everest in the ladder-frame SUV space, but it’s also eyeing rivals like the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and Nissan X-Trail. MG’s clearly swinging for the fences with this one!
