The All-Electric Jeep Avenger Is Coming To Europe This Fall

To accelerate its electrification process, Jeep has announced four new electric vehicles. The Avenger SUV, which goes on sale in Europe next year, is the first. The compact electric off-roader will be unveiled in its entirety at the Paris Motor Show in October.

It is also one of the first vehicles to feature Stellantis's innovative STLA architecture. There will be three other electric Jeep models available in North America (the Recon, the all-electric Wagoneer S, and a battery-powered SUV), but sadly, not the Jeep Avenger.

The Avenger, although being marketed as an urban vehicle, offers exceptional ground clearance and a 249-mile electric driving range. Jeep promises that its smallest SUV will provide a contemporary cabin with all the expected technologies and sufficient space. According to reports, the Avenger will be offered with two/all-wheel drive, depending on whether buyers opt for one or two 94-hp electric motors. A hybrid variant will also be offered. 

Jeep has pledged that by 2030, half of the vehicles it sells in the United States will be electric. In Europe, the figure rises to 100%. According to Antonella Bruno, director of Jeep Europe at Stellantis, "The all-new Avenger will offer Jeep brand capability that is rightsized for the European market." 

European customers can place orders for an Avenger beginning on October 17; prices have not been announced.
