The 7.0-liter V-8 In This Corvette Z06 Got Swapped For A 680-HP Toyota 2JZ

Engine swaps come in many shapes and sizes, but this is by far the most bizarre we've seen. The factory-installed 7.0-liter LS7 V-8 in this Corvette Z06 has been swapped out for a Toyota 2JZ straight-six producing 680-hp. According to Engine Swap Depot, this bizarre Corvette was developed for elite BMX rider Abdulla Alhosani by the RSG High-Performance Center in the United Arab Emirates.

It has a single Precision 6870 turbocharger with a boost pressure of 20 psi and uses a unique bell-housing adapter, clutch, and flywheel to transfer power to the back wheels via the stock torque tub and six-speed Chevy transaxle. A MoTeC M130 ECU manages the entire arrangement.

Despite the lack of a factory-installed turbo straight-six, the C6's engine compartment appears to be ideal for housing Toyota's legendary unit. It has a terrific sound, too, just like every other big-power 2JZ before it. According to RSG's Instagram, the vehicle is built up to run on regular pump gas. We can't imagine a better to make a statement at your local Corvette club meeting.
