Volvo is launching the EM90, the brand-new model, into the Chinese minivan market. With a range of more than 450 miles, this all-electric minivan was created especially for Chinese customers. There are, however, no intentions to launch it in Western markets.

Both the Volvo EM90 and the Zeekr 009 (an electric minivan from the Geely Group) are quite similar. With a wheelbase of 126.2 inches, the minivan's external measurements are anticipated to be around 205 inches long, 79.7 inches wide, and 73.5 inches high.

The EM90's single 268-horsepower electric motor on the back axle powers its acceleration from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 8.3 seconds. It has a 116-kWh battery that takes less than 30 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. The new Volvo EM90 delivers a range of 459 miles, according to China's CLTC driving cycle testing.

The EM90 has three rows of seats in a 2+2+2 arrangement, making it ideal for opulent and family travel. Captain's chair chairs with motorized reclining, heating, ventilation, and foldable trays are available in the middle row. Additionally, a 15.6-inch screen is available for video meetings and leisure.

Even more, with the push of a button or voice command, owners can convert the interior of the Volvo EM90 into a "theater, a meeting room, or a bedroom for the rear seats." Not to mention, it has various screens and smart surfaces.

Overall, the Volvo EM90 is a technological marvel, with a big 15.4-inch central infotainment screen and a minimalist cockpit with digital instrumentation. Additionally, it has sophisticated driver assistance features that make use of a variety of sensors.
