The 413-mile-capable Geely Galaxy E8 Has Finally Arrived

Ahead of its pre-sale introduction at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 17, Geely has shown off its newest electric car, the Galaxy E8. It will compete directly with the BYD Han EV as the newest model in Geely's Galaxy line.

With dimensions of 5,010 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, 1,465 mm in height, and a 2,925 mm wheelbase, the Galaxy E8's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform is one of its most notable characteristics.

This elegant and aerodynamic vehicle outperforms the Nio ET7 and the Mercedes-Benz EQS, two well-known electric vehicles, with a remarkable drag coefficient of only 0.199! How crazy is that?

The front of the automobile has a unique design that abandons the standard grille in favor of pointed headlamps and complex daytime running lights. Rear-facing cameras located on the door are replaced with standard wing mirrors, and the sides are clean and unadorned to prioritize airflow efficiency.

Rear-viewing, the Galaxy E8 has a sleek, contemporary design that is accentuated with an LED light bar and sophisticated taillights made up of several small LEDs.

Within the cabin, a sizable 45-inch display with 8K resolution covers the entire dashboard. A wireless charging pad, a simple center console with several buttons, a split storage compartment, and a steering wheel with a flat top and bottom are additional features of the E8. There is also a panoramic roof and ambient lighting.

The Galaxy E8 is available in two 400-volt models. With its 272 hp rear electric motor and 62 kWh LFP battery, the first model has a 342-mile range. Another variant, which increases the range to 413 miles, has the same engine but a bigger 76-kWh battery pack. With a front motor of 224 horsepower, a rear motor of 421 horsepower, and a battery capacity of 76 kWh, the top-of-the-line model has an 800-volt system and goes up to 413 miles.
