The 2024 Nissan Patrol Gets A Much-Needed Interior Upgrade

Despite two redesigns since its 2010 debut, the current generation Nissan Patrol hasn't had as many changes in Australia as it has in other regions. This is something that Nissan Australia hopes to fix with the 2024 Patrol model year.

The inside of the Patrol has remained mostly unchanged for the last fourteen years in Australia. To update the off-roader's interior, Nissan Australia has resorted to aftermarket parts. Nissan Australia has installed a new 10.1-inch touchscreen in collaboration with Directed Technologies, a local automotive supplier.

For starters, the display comes with a new wide-angle rear-view camera, digital radio with DAB+, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and more.

The 2024 Patrol features a more streamlined arrangement for key infotainment and temperature controls, and it does away with the previous model's dated CD player and bewildering variety of buttons. There is now a storage cubby where the former 8.0-inch touchscreen was. Also, included in the upgraded Patrol's entertainment system is Hema Maps, widely regarded as the most extensive off-road mapping service in Australia.

All customers who purchase the 2024 model will receive a complimentary one-month trial of the service. Patrol Ti, which is Nissan Australia's version of the vehicle, now comes with a front-row center cool box. An upgraded six-speaker sound system and a smart rearview mirror are also standard on the Ti. Interestingly, a six-speaker Infinity system replaces the thirteen-speaker Bose sound system of the flagship 2024 Nissan Patrol Ti-L.

A naturally-aspirated V8 engine producing 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque will remain under the hood of the 2024 Patrol. This engine is paired with a robust automated seven-speed transmission. In Australia, you can get a Patrol Ti for as little as 87,900 Australian dollars ($58,200), with the Ti-L starting at 100,600 Australian dollars (or $66,700).
