The 2024 Geparda Is A Hatchback That Makes Driving Dreams Come True, Even For Teens

If you're under 18 but still want to drive badly, this unusual hatchback is for you. The name is Geparda, and it is even better than your regular Volkswagen up!

After installing the unconventional rear axle, the Geparda's manufacturer asserts that it has strengthened the chassis to make the vehicle more stable. Thanks to the front H&R stabilizer and the rear Eibach springs, this odd-looking car shouldn't be wobbly at all.

16-year-olds may also drive the modified Stellantis trio, positioning it as a potential competitor to the Citroen Ami, Fiat Topolino, and Opel Rocks-e. The Geparda, on the other hand, has a 1.0-liter engine that is naturally aspirated. Volkswagen sold both 59 and 74 horsepower versions of the three-pot engine.

Nevertheless, the engine has been drastically downsized to produce only 20 horsepower, which is sent to the front axle using a five-speed manual transmission. Still, it's capable of 68 miles per hour. It gets 49 miles per gallon despite weighing only 2,000 pounds.

Front disc brakes, four airbags, anti-lock brakes, and electronic stability programming are standard on the Geparda. It can carry four passengers and is slightly under the legal weight limit of 3,000 pounds. Geparda is asking around €20,000 ($21,650) for its vehicles, and they have already delivered the first batch.
