Tesla Model S Can Go 752 Miles On A Single Charge Thanks To A Prototype Battery

How would you feel about electric vehicles if they had a battery that could go 752 miles (1,210 km)? That's what Our Next Energy (ONE) promises to be able to do.
In mid-December, a Tesla Model S modified with ONE's prototype battery, performed a road test across Michigan, averaging 55 mph (88 km/h). A vehicle dynamometer was used to verify the findings of the test car's 752 miles on a single battery charge.
Even the most powerful electric vehicles on the market today don't have enough power to deal with aspects like high-speed driving, harsh weather, mountainous terrain, or hauling trailers in real-world settings, according to the manufacturer. These circumstances can result in a loss of more than 35% of the claimed range.
According to ONE, the Gemini battery is meant to provide an adequate range for any user to make an electric car their exclusive mode of transportation. ONE's 207.3 kWh single pack was installed into the same location as Tesla's 103.9 kWh battery in the Model S Long Range Plus. This implies it's significantly more energy-dense, yet consuming nearly the same amount of energy per kWh as the original one.
According to the CEO, the prototype pack utilized in the test included a variety of cells, namely high-energy cobalt-nickel cells. The cells for the production battery, on the other hand, are still in the works. The Gemini battery is expected to go into production after 2023, according to the Michigan-based firm.
