Take A Look At Ken Block's New Audi S1 E-tron Quattro Hoonitron

For Ken Block's next Gymkhana video, Audi Sport has built a one-of-a-kind Audi S1 E-tron Quattro Hoonitron based on the Group B rally vehicle it used to achieve the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 1987.

It's built on the new RS E-tron GT electric fastback, but it's been significantly altered inside and out to fit the needs of former World Rally Championship competitor Block.

It includes two electric motors that provide an all-wheel drive and a carbon fiber frame with all of the required safety equipment to comply with FIA regulations. The car's performance hasn't been revealed in full, although Block claims it's "capable of spinning into a donut at 150 km/h (93mph) right from standstill."

Audi design leader March Lichte was in charge of the style of the automobile, which was created at Audi Sport's Neckarsulm facility. The bodywork was directly inspired by the Sport Quattro S1 that raced on Pikes Peak in 1987. Block was heavily involved in the design process and the job was completed in only four weeks.

The new Audi S1 E-tron Quattro Hoonitronwas originally tested by the American in November, and it will be included in a future Elektrikhana video, the newest chapter in his enormously successful Gymkhana series.
