TAKATA airbags installed on Toyota, Nissan and Honda can be fatal in an accident!

Takata, one of the leading global suppliers of airbags, initiated massive recall numbers for Japanese car manufacturers.

The unintended acceleration scandal that prompted Toyota to recall more than 12 million cars in 2009, is a trifle to the airbags that have in the center stage the Japanese company Takata.

So far they were recalled more than 17 million cars, mainly Japanese producers since 2008. Honda has been the worst affected, thereby promoting already a global recall company, including Europe. Today, Toyota and Nissan have announced a massive number of recalls, over 6.5 million cars due to the same problems with the Takata brand airbag.

Toyota will recall around 5 million vehicles produced between 2003 and 2007, of which 1.27 million in Europe. It is the Yaris, Corolla, and other models. Nissan, in turn, will recall 1.56 million cars produced between 2004 and 2007, of which 563,000 cars in Europe. Neither Toyota nor Nissan reported no deaths from accidents caused by defective products of Takata airbag, but at least six people were killed by shrapnel from Takata airbags installed in Honda cars

Apparently, the force of the explosion with which the Takata airbag is triggered is so great that the cabin design and material pieces of metal that can cause serious injury or death to the occupants.
