The awaited successor of 650S - McLaren Super Series - has been teased in an image and a piece of news saying that it will provide 50% more downforce than the present model.
The new Super Series model will be dubbed 720S and will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Continuing the idea of 650S, the new model will have an active rear wing, with airbrake functionality that will ensure the necessary equilibrium when braking at high speeds. The aerodynamic efficiency will be double the present model's.

There will be a new dihedral door design, incorporating two separate ducts, which will be in charge of conducting the air in the necessary direction so that the engine gets cooled down and the downforce gets increased.

The teaser image reveals no visible lateral air intakes. This would be a premiere for a mid-engine supercar. The car uses advanced technologies that increase the maximum downforce and ensure a high level of adherence and stability.

A remodeled version of the car maker's twin-turbo V8 engine will be powering the car, delivering approximately 710 hp. Rumors also speak about a hybrid system, similar to the one used on P1.
It seems that the company will invite the prospective customers at an early preview, so some lucky ones may get to see it before March.
