Subaru Uncharted Electric Crossover Debuts July 17 With Toyota DNA
by AutoExpert | 14 July, 2025
Subaru is getting ready to roll out a new electric SUV, and this one’s got a bit of mystery to it—fittingly, it’s called the Uncharted. While the name hints at exploration, the model itself is part of a more familiar story. It’s been co-developed with Toyota and shares much of its DNA with the Toyota C-HR. But don’t expect a straight copy. Subaru is promising something that feels uniquely its own.
The first official glimpse just dropped, showing the rear end of the car. From what we can see, it has a bold, slightly muscular silhouette that leans into Subaru’s signature tough-but-approachable design language. It's clearly being positioned as a more adventurous alternative in the growing electric crossover market.

We’re still waiting on the full specs, which Subaru will reveal on July 17. While they haven’t said much yet, it’s likely that the Uncharted rides on the same platform used in Toyota’s latest EVs but with its own set of features and design touches that reflect Subaru’s outdoorsy spirit.
Once it lands, the Uncharted will become Subaru’s third all-electric model, joining the Solterra and the more off-road-focused Trailseeker.
