Still In The Game: Renault Duster Updates For 2026 Model Year In Brazil

While the third-generation Dacia Duster is gaining popularity worldwide, the second-generation model continues to dominate the Brazilian market under the Renault brand. For the 2026 model year, it gets a few minor updates, ensuring its place in the South American lineup for a bit longer.

The second-gen Duster has been around since 2017, but Brazilian production of Renault’s version only began in 2020. While Europe got a refresh in 2022, Brazil lagged behind, only getting its facelift in 2024.

For 2026, changes are subtle. The SUV now sports a shark-fin antenna, a glossy black roof and grille, plus standard LED headlights across all trims. The top-spec Iconic Plus, powered by a turbocharged 1.3-liter engine, gets glossy black 17-inch Tergan alloy wheels, Megalith Gray skid plates, and roof bars for a sportier vibe.

You still have the option to add a rugged touch with the optional Outsider Pack. The Outsider Pack enhances the front bumper with extra lights and beefier side moldings, but it won't turn the Duster into a dedicated off-road vehicle. Inside, the Duster maintains its standard features, featuring an analog instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment screen.

Under the hood, buyers can choose between a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter SCe engine with 118 hp or a turbocharged 1.3-liter TCe flex-fuel engine pushing 161 hp (163 PS) on ethanol. The 1.6-liter comes with either a manual or CVT, while the turbo is exclusive to the XTronic CVT automatic. Notably, all versions remain FWD. Pricing starts at R$132,990 ($22,900) and tops out at R$167,690 ($28,900), a slight bump over the 2025 model.
