SsangYong XAVL Features Seven Seats

SsangYong from South Korea is planning to debut at Geneva with its futuristic SsangYong XAVL concept car. That is a mid-sized SUV that is partially based on the second generation classic Korando from the 1990s.
XAVL is 4,630 mm long, 1,866 mm wide, 1,640 mm high with a 2,775mm wheelbase. It has got three rows of seats.

According to the CEO of SsangYong, John-Sik Choi, this concept will mark the future of SsangYong vehicles. As the development of the XAV concept that was introduced last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the new one will easily transport seven people in comfort. It features both petrol and diesel engines.

The production car is supposed to have a 1.6-liter diesel engine with CO2 emissions of 120~150g/km while the 1.5-liter petrol engine - 150~170g/km. You will be able to choose the AWD version with the 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

The concept features good management of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, navigation, and infotainment system. There is also a Link to Home IoT (Internet of Things) technology that enables passengers to connect their home and control security, temperature control, CCTV, and other domestic equipment.

The company is planning to launch the production model before 2020.
