Seat has unveiled numerous enhancements to the Leon model. The hatchback now comes with VW Group's improved PHEV system and no longer has the option of a 3-cylinder engine. The new Seat Leon maintains the same design language as its predecessor.

The only thing that's different is that you can get headlights with optional matrix LED graphics. The Leon's upgraded digital cockpit features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.4-inch infotainment display (up from 8.25 inches), or a 12.9-inch display (optional).

Like the redesigned Volkswagen Golf, both standalone displays have lighted sliders. Last but not least, Seat equipped the center console's base with a 15-watt wireless charging station that doubles as a cooling pad for your smartphone. Under the surface, the 3-cylinder petrol engine is no longer available; in its place, only four-cylinder powertrains are available: TSI gasoline, eTSI mild hybrid, TDI diesel, and eHybrid plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.

The Leon now replaces the discontinued 1.0 TSI three-cylinder engine with a detuned version of the 1.5 TSI four-cylinder as its entry-level powertrain choice. With its six-speed manual gearbox, the mill produces 113 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Two more engine possibilities for the 2024 Seat Leon are the 1.5 eTSI with 48V mild-hybrid technology and the 2.0 TDI turbodiesel.

Only when coupled with a seven-speed DSG gearbox can the latter produce its maximum output of 148 hp or 113 hp. Regarding the plug-in hybrid, the Leon eHybrid has a new 1.5 TSI engine that produces 201 horsepower when paired with the electric motor. A bigger 19.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack allows for an increased EV range of more than 62 miles between charges; however, the power output is the same as the previous PHEV, which used the old 1.4 TSI.

Moreover, the 2024 Seat Leon now includes a 15-watt wireless charging pad that serves to both charge and cool your smartphone.

Later this month, Seat's Martorell plant in Barcelona will begin producing the updated Leon in five-door hatchback and estate versions. We will soon publish the prices for the updated lineup. By the end of 2025, Seat will have upgraded the Ateca SUV, introduced a new makeover for the Ibiza and Arona siblings, and launched the Leon, among other vehicles.
