Say Goodbye To i30 N: Hyundai Updates Standard i30 Instead

Sadly, Hyundai discontinued the i30 N and its sibling, the i20 N, a few weeks ago to redirect performance resources to electric vehicles. However, Hyundai has somewhat updated the standard i30.

The little redesign is applicable to all i30 models. It brings a new radiator grille pattern, a redesigned front bumper with foglamp housings, and other improvements. New 16-inch wheels, standard LED headlights, seven of the twelve color options, and a chrome insert in a sharper rear bumper are all available on hatchbacks and wagons.

Interior upgrades include improved driving aid technology, over-the-air map updates, and USB-C connections on both the front and back. Buyers can enhance safety by selecting an intersection traffic monitor and a Highway Driving Assistant that keep a reasonable distance from the car ahead, in addition to the usual forward collision prevention.

Since the 276 horsepower N is no longer available, the only engine options are a 1.0-liter three-cylinder and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder powertrain with 48-volt mild hybrid assistance, producing 118 hp and 157 hp, respectively.

The facelifted Hyundai i30 will still be available with manual and dual-clutch transmissions next month for the European market.
