Saudi Arabia is rolling out something that’s straight out of a sci-fi flick. Picture this: Lucid Air sedans turned police cars, but with a twist – they’re launching drones right off their roofs! Yeah, you heard that right, drones flying out of police cars!

Lucid Motors, despite the rollercoaster ride with their stock prices and the slow dance with EV sales, is making headlines for a pretty cool reason. They’re empowering Saudi Arabia's police force with a fleet of electric Lucid Airs. These aren't your run-of-the-mill squad cars. Imagine cruising (or being chased, why not) by a stylish amazing electric sedan with a drone popping out the top like it’s no big deal.

This electrifying cop car made its grand entrance at the World Defense Show in Riyadh, stealing the spotlight. There was this teaser photo floating around social media, showing the Lucid Air all dressed up in police gear under a cover, looking mysterious and all that. Then, boom, the Saudi Ministry of the Interior drops a video and we get to see this high-tech cruiser in all its glory.

We haven’t gotten a sneak peek inside yet, but I’m betting it’s decked out with all kinds of gadgets and gizmos – think high-tech command center on wheels. Who wouldn't want to play around with that infotainment system?

This move is part of something bigger, with Saudi Arabia shifting gears towards a future filled with electric cars. And Lucid Motors is front and center, thanks to some serious backing from Saudi Arabia’s sovereign fund. They’ve even struck a deal that could see up to 100,000 EVs hitting the streets over the next decade. That’s a whole lot of electric zooming around.

Lucid’s got a factory in Saudi Arabia, but for now, it’s more about assembling cars that come over in kits from their plant in Arizona. But hey, it’s a step towards electrifying their roads and saying "see ya" to fossil fuels.

So, keep your eyes peeled for more on these electric police cruisers. If this is the future of law enforcement vehicles, we’re in for some seriously cool cop chases. Imagine getting pulled over by one of these – you wouldn’t know whether to be worried about the ticket or geek out over the car and its drone buddy!
